IRATA Training and Revalidation

News
IRATA Training and Revalidation

Members of the Select Access safety systems team attended Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA) revalidation and training with Mark Wright Training in Rotherham at the end of November.

Our Director, Graham Akroyd, revalidated at IRATA Level 3. This was his sixth time in succession to successfully complete the required assessment. Revalidation is required every three years at all levels.

Meanwhile, Ross Cardiff – the Select Access Technical Director – successfully completed his IRATA Level 1.

IRATA training 2Select Access has scheduled further engineers for training in the coming months. This is to ensure our ability to self-deliver rope access services through having all skill sets at our disposal in the Rope Access Team.

By utilsing the IRATA training system, we ensure that our team has the highest standard of training and demonstrate the required knowledge and skill set to operate in the rope access field.

This allows us to offer unique understanding in the installation and usage of rope access systems for our clients.

In addition, by having team members with the appropriate training and equipment, Select Access can offer additional services to clients. These include mechanical and façade maintenance, inspection (visual/photographic/video) and system testing and inspection.

All Select Access works will be carried out under the IRATA International Code of Practice and the HSE Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (General Applications) Regulations 2007.
